Consistent with the previous studies, tangeretin-treated MDA-MB-468, MDA-MB-435, and MCF-7 cells showed an antiproliferative effect attributed to arresting the cell cycle in G1 phase [12, 42], as well as activation of CYP1 and expression of CYP1A1/CYP1B1 that document the ability of tangeretin to prevent the spread of breast cancer cells by the metabolism-mediated processes through CYP1A1/CYP1B1 and 4′hydroxy tangeretin in both MCF-7 and MDA-MB-468 [12]. Here, CYP1A1 is linked to breast cancer.
