AKT1 and liver cancer: Our results showed a reduced phosphorylation level of AKT by inhibition of the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway, which simultaneously downregulates the expression of BCL-2 in H22 cells at mRNA and posttranslational levels and upregulates the expression of BAX, indicating that GLSP can inhibit the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway and induce apoptosis in liver cancer H22 cells (Figure 10).
