Interestingly, all three pancreatitis pathogenic variants examined were more prevalent in our cohort than the general population, two were associated with non-hereditary pancreatitis that included chronic, early onset pancreatitis (CPA1, ratio of 8.54) and chronic pancreatitis (CTRC, ratio of 1.95), while one variant was associated with hereditary pancreatitis (CFTR, ratio of 5.04). The gene discussed is CFTR; the disease is hereditary chronic pancreatitis.
