Stroma-derived growth arrest-specific protein 6 (Gas6) has been shown to induce dormancy in PCa cells by binding to the receptor tyrosine kinases family member Tyro3, Axl, and Mer (TAM) and downstream activation of multiple signaling pathways, including MAPK and phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K)-Akt (50). This evidence concerns the gene AXL and posterior cortical atrophy.
