We also characterized levels of CD4+CD25+ (Figure 1F) and CD8+CD25+ T cells (Figure 1G) between healthy control and SLE patient and found that the percentage of CD4+CD25+hiFoxP3+ Tregs in peripheral blood was also significantly reduced in patients with SLE relative to healthy controls (Figure 1H; p < 0.0005). This evidence concerns the gene CD8A and systemic lupus erythematosus.
