HAMP and anemia (phenotype): Currently, anti-RGMA antibodies are in clinical trials for the treatment of spinal cord injuries and progressive multiple sclerosis (Demicheva et al., 2015; Mothe et al., 2017; Nakagawa et al., 2019), and antibodies against RGMC decrease the level of hepcidin (the key regulator of iron homeostasis), offering promising therapeutic candidates for patients suffering from anemia of inflammation (Kovac et al., 2016).
