After adjustment for age, sex, obesity, HT, DM, DL, smoking, alcohol intake and CRP, sarcopenia remained significantly associated with MetS (OR 2.106, CI 1.681–2.639, P < 0.001, Model 5, Table 4) Sarcopenia was associated with an increased prevalence of severe MetS with 5 criteria (OR 10.453, 95% CI; 7.258–15.054, P < 0.001). This evidence concerns the gene CRP and obesity disorder.
