Since the TAP gene is closely related to antigen processing and immune regulation, the current research involving TAP mainly focuses on immune-related diseases, including one study that investigated the association of the SNP at rs1135216 of TAP1 with the onset of allergic rhinitis [17], and another study which found that the SNP at rs1057141 was associated with an increased risk of atopic disease among African populations [17]. This evidence concerns the gene TAP1 and allergic rhinitis.
