The mammalian ADGRG6 gene is widely expressed in the lung (Musa, Cazorla‐Vázquez, et al., 2019) and evidence is increasing for the association of ADGRG6 variants in both coding and intronic regions with different aspects of lung function, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) (Hancock et al., 2010; Jackson et al., 2016; Soler Artigas et al., 2015; Wilk et al., 2012). Here, ADGRG6 is linked to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
