Rab26 is specifically lower expressed in highly aggressive breast cancer lines such as MDA-MB-231 and BT549 (triple-negative breast cancer cell lines); however, we found Rab26b (probably a transcriptional variant of Rab26) possesses divergent function from Rab26, suggesting a potential transcriptional regulation of Rab26 expression in different cells, which deserves further investigations. This evidence concerns the gene RAB26 and triple-negative breast carcinoma.
