Although the mechanism of PEDF for lymphatic endothelial cells and tumor cells needs further exploration, our results have provided strong evidence that PEDF is a potent endogenous lymphangiogenesis inhibitor and plays a crucial role in nasopharyngeal lymphangiogenesis and lymphatic metastasis, which will provide a candidate drug for the treatment of NPC metastasis. This evidence concerns the gene SERPINF1 and neoplasm.
