There are also high levels of Wnt2B in fibroblasts adjacent to the tumor; statistical analysis revealed that the expression of Wnt2B expression in tumor and in stromal is positively correlated (r = 0.723, P < 0.0001) (Fig. 1F), indicating that the transfer of tumor-derived Wnt2B to stroma may contribute towards CAF accumulation in CC.
