Pydc3 is a component of the NLRP3 inflammasome that has been shown to play a T cell-intrinsic role in Th17 differentiation in experimental autoimmune encephalitis (EAE) as well as in the regulation of Th17 differentiation in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (Martin et al., 2016; Zhao et al., 2018). Here, NLRP3 is linked to rheumatoid arthritis.
