YY1 and melanoma: Specifically, high expression levels of YY1 have been detected in several cancer types, including prostate [18, 19], breast [20], cervical [21, 22], glioma [23, 24], gastric [25], melanoma [26], liver [27], lung [28], etc. Notably, YY1 expression levels correlate with worse clinical outcomes, such as metastasis, invasion, resistance to anticancer therapy, and cancer recurrence [29–31].
