A comparison of the survival rates of the Sirt6-positive and Sirt6-negative HNSCC cancer patients revealed that the Sirt6-positive patients had a higher OS rate (p = 0.036) over 5 years than the Sirt6-negative patients, although the recurrence-free survival rate did not significantly differ between the groups (p = 0.196) (Fig. 1a, b). This evidence concerns the gene SIRT6 and head and neck squamous cell carcinoma.
