Some previous studies in patients with sepsis showed a significant association between plasma Syn-1 level and SOFA score [17], hypocoagulability [10], APACHE II score [17], and development of acute kidney injury [28], whereas other studies showed no significant correlations of Syn-1 with SOFA score [29], noradrenaline infusion, [30] or the Simplified Acute Physiology Score II [29]. This evidence concerns the gene SYN1 and Sepsis.
