POLD1 and colorectal carcinoma: What’s more, for the the whole 430 CRC cohort, there are 9 cases with MSS and TMB higher than 29 muts/Mb, and 6 of them are POLE-mutated patient while the other 3 patients don’t harbor POLE or POLD1, indicating that there are other mechanism causing TMB-H in MSS group except POLE or POLD1. Additionally, the MSI-H or TMB-H (≥29 muts/Mb) CRC were both more common in the early stage tumors than in late stage tumors (MSI-H: stage I/II, 31.25%, III/IV, 68.75%, p = 0.006; TMB-H: stage I/II, 37.14%, III/IV, 62.86%, p = 0.056).
