Based on the findings of the current investigation, the pathogenesis of azoospermia caused by SOX30 silencing could be that SOX30‐loss causes the abnormal arrest of germ‐cell meiosis at zygotene, leading to complete absence of spermatozoa and male infertility by directly regulating critical regulators of meiosis (Cyp26b1, Stra8 and Rec8) and sex differentiation (Sox9, Foxl2, Wnt4, Ctnnb1 and Rspo1). The gene discussed is SOX30; the disease is Azoospermia.
