UNC5A and cancer: Interestingly, netrin‐1, the most studied member of the netrin family, is upregulated in a large fraction of human cancers, where it is generally assumed to promote cancer cell survival via its interaction with its receptors, deleted in colorectal carcinoma (DCC) and members of the uncoordinated‐5 family (UNC5‐A, B, C, D; Mehlen et al, 2011; Paradisi et al, 2013).
