The current study set out to investigate the role of M2 macrophage-derived exosomal miR-155-5p in colon cancer, and the findings obtained evidenced that miR-155-5p was transferred by M2 macrophage-derived exosomes to tumor cells, where it targeted ZC3H12B, implicated in the upregulation of IL-6 expression, consequently promoting immune escape of colon cancer. This evidence concerns the gene IL6 and malignant colon neoplasm.
