RECQL5 and Familial gastric cancer: Although defects in RECQL5 have not been associated with human genetic disorders, mutations in RECQL5 have been associated with tumorigenesis, including breast cancer (He et al., 2014), osteosarcoma (Zhi et al., 2014; Dong et al., 2015), NUT midline carcinoma (Stirnweiss et al., 2017), head and neck cancer (Das et al., 2018), and hereditary diffuse gastric cancer (Fewings et al., 2018).
