Further analysis of the relationship between miR-137 and Vimentin or E-cadherin in clinical tissue samples showed that miR-137 and Vimentin was negatively correlated (Spearman r = −0.7944), while miR-137 was positively correlated with E-cadherin (Spearman r = 0.5495) (Figures 2D, E), indicating that miR-137 may inhibit the tumor invasion by affecting EMT-related factors. This evidence concerns the gene VIM and neoplasm.
