Upon in‐depth analysis of the clinical samples, we found that areas in HCC samples that displayed high CD133 and low THBS2 expression had softer tumors (less collagen fiber deposition) and fewer confined tumors with a clear invasive tumor front showing the direction by which HCC cells migrate from the tumor to the adjacent nontumor areas (Figure 5D top; Figure S6D, Supporting Information). This evidence concerns the gene THBS2 and neoplasm.
