SRSF3 was found to be downregulated in human HCC samples, and recent studies showed SRSF3 was also reduced in NAFLD, NASH and cirrhosis liver samples in both human and mouse, and as a consequence, changes in the splicing of known SRSF3 target genes were observed (FN1, MYO1B, INSR, SLK) (10, 81). The gene discussed is SRSF3; the disease is metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis.
