In the Wang et al.’s (2018) study investigating the therapeutic effects of transplantation of Nurr1 gene-modified mesenchymal bone marrow stem cells (MSCs) into 6-hydroxydopamine (6-OHDA)-induced PD rat models, MSCs was transduced with Nurr1 gene-expressing lentivirus and then transplanted into PD rats intrastriatally. The gene discussed is NR4A2; the disease is Parkinson disease.
