Four years later, in 2016, the patient presented with an elevated erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) (72 mm) and C-reactive protein (CRP) (56.1 mg/L), thrombocytosis (501 × 10^9/L) and anaemia (haemoglobin 7.4 mmol/L). Here, CRP is linked to thrombocytosis disease.
