Indeed, a significant (P = 0.048, HR = 1.13 (1–1.28)) relationship between POU1F1/ACTA2 mRNA levels and RFS was found in a human breast cancer dataset (n = 3951 samples) (Fig. 6H), which suggests a clinical prognostic value for both POU1F1 and α-SMA in breast tumors. The gene discussed is ACTA2; the disease is breast cancer.
