Specifically, the cohorts (GSE17536) [30] included 177 samples at different stages of colorectal cancer and showed a remarkable association between high ITGA5 expression levels and poor prognosis (OS HR = 1.66, 95% CI = 1.16 to 2.37, Cox P = 0.005; DFS HR = 2.97, 95% CI = 1.70 to 5.21, Cox P = 0.0004) (Figs. 2i–j) in colorectal cancer. Here, ITGA5 is linked to colorectal cancer.
