MAGI1 and neoplasm: The anti-tumoral activity of MAGI1 is further supported by its ability to bind the tumor-suppressor PTEN29–31, the fact that it is often targeted by viral oncoproteins32,33, and by the observation that in colorectal cancer cells, MAGI1 was upregulated in response to cyclooxygenase-2 inhibitor and prevented metastasis34.
