These include, methylguanine-DNA-methyltransferase (MGMT) (2, 3), long non-coding RNAs such as lncRNA TP73-AS1 (4), increased angiogenesis (5), resistance to apoptosis and apoptosis-inducing agents (6), mitochondrial DNA mutation, and most importantly, the presence of GBM initiating cells (GICs). This evidence concerns the gene MGMT and glioblastoma.
