IL17A and hypertensive disorder: Because the CD4+FoxP3+ (Treg) cells secreting IL-10 prevent the development of hypertension contrary to Th17 cells, both changes in the high serum levels of IL-17A and low serum levels of IL-10 in both juvenile and adult SHR promote proinflammatory responses, reduce anti-inflammatory responses, and play a critical role in the development of hypertension.
