Cryptococcosis and histoplasmosis are common fungal infections in PLWHIV, however, Cryptococcus/Histoplasma co-infection is rare, there are only a few reports in patients with advanced HIV and CD4 lymphocyte count <100 cells / mm3, likewise, there is a report of a case without HIV, with chronic treatment with steroids.
