The number size of normal tissue in the TCGA database is too small to be statistically convincing [e.g., TCGA glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) cohort has only five normal controls], so we matched the GTEx normal tissues with the TCGA cancer tissues to reflect the CD96 expression landscape in a more convincing manner, and found that CD96 was differentially expressed in most cancers (Figure 2C). The gene discussed is CD96; the disease is glioblastoma.
