Previous studies have reported that lncRNA ASB16-AS1 functions as a microRNA sponge and regulates cell proliferation, migration, invasion, and apoptosis in several cancers including hepatocellular carcinoma, glioma, non-small lung cancer, and cervical cancer (17–20), indicating that ASB16-AS1 play its crucial role in tumorigenesis. The gene discussed is ASB16; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
