For 118 target genes in the ceRNA networks, literature retrieval was carried out according to the method described, and 24 genes, such as vascular endothelial growth factor A (Vegfa), insulin-like growth factor 1 (Igf1), and mitogen-activated protein kinase 8 (Mapk8), were found to be associated with “atherosclerosis” and “plaque” (Table 2). The gene discussed is VEGFA; the disease is atherosclerosis.
