Treatments that deplete predominantly B-2 cells such as anti-CD20 monoclonal antibody and B-cell activating factor receptor (BAFFR) deficiency attenuated atherosclerosis development in apolipoprotein-E deficient (ApoE−/−) and low-density lipoprotein receptor deficient (LdlR−/−) mice maintained on Western diet (WD) (5, 6, 8, 9). Here, LDLR is linked to atherosclerosis.
