We further demonstrate that TLR7KO mice showed significantly reduced levels of IgM and IgG2 subtypes (IgG2a/c and IgG2b), important antibodies for anti-viral effect, in the spinal cord, and less ability to neutralize EV71 during their recovery from paralyzed limbs (> 14 days post-infection, which is equivalent to 4-week-old mice). This evidence concerns the gene CD40LG and infection.
