Oligoclonal bands and mildly raised proteins were detected in the CSF of Patients 5, 22, and 27, whilst intrathecal SARS-CoV-2, paraneoplastic and autoimmune encephalitis antibodies (including N-methyl-D-aspartate Receptor, Leucine-rich glioma inactivated-1, contactin-associate protein-like 2, γ-Aminobutyric acid-B receptor, GluR1 and GluR2 subunits of the AMPA receptor) were negative in all three patients. This evidence concerns the gene CNTNAP2 and autoimmune encephalitis.
