One finding noted that the chance of severe hypoglycemia occurrence increased with the duration of diabetes and of insulin therapy.11 Moreover, it was reported that repeated episodes of severe hypoglycemia positively correlated with the presence of certain comorbidities and that a long duration of diabetes prior to insulin treatment or antihypertensive medications may reduce the risk of hypoglycemia.12 These findings suggest that the chance of developing hypoglycemia over the course of diabetes may be affected by both disease progression and medication. Here, INS is linked to Hypoglycemia.
