In our study, however, no significant differences between the p55 and p75 TNF-α receptor expression on neutrophils in children with thermal and mechanical injuries were observed as compared to the control group, which may demonstrate a less significant TNF-α involvement in these patients’ granulocyte activation as opposed to, e.g., children with sepsis (for whom statistically significant differences in receptor expressions as compared with the controls were recorded). Here, TNF is linked to Sepsis.
