In this study, the percentage of CD4+IL-17+ T cells tended to be higher and that of CD4+CD25+Foxp3+ T cells was higher in purified T cells from the HFD groups compared with the CON groups; however, the CD4+IL-17+ T cells/CD4+CD25+Foxp3+ T cells ratio was unaffected by obesity. The gene discussed is IL17A; the disease is obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
