Ablation of either ZMYND8 or KDM5C in ZR-75-30 breast cancer cells results in over-activation of their target enhancers, characterized by the deposition of H3K4me3 and H3K27ac, decreased H3K4me1, and increased transcription of enhancer RNAs (eRNAs) and nearby genes [25].
