In our experiment, the activity of SOD and POD in the prior period was significantly increased when locusts were treated with M. anisopliae, and after interference of the Lmserpin1 gene, the SOD enzyme activity was significantly higher than that without interference in the early stage of infection (Figure 6 and Figure 7), which indicated that the balance of the protective enzyme system of L. migratoria manilensis was damaged after Lmserpin1 interference, it induced that the activity of the protective enzyme was over-increased, and ultimately mortality increased. This evidence concerns the gene SOD1 and infection.
