VDR Apa-I and Bsm1 polymorphisms appear to be associate with an increased risk of PCOS, while TaqI and Cdx2 could be related to severity and susceptibility of PCOS, including strong symptoms such as higher IR, fasting insulin, testosterone levels, body mass index (BMI) and lower vitamin D levels [50].
