Interestingly, as observed with the Raji-DC-SIGN in vitro assays, HIV-1 X4 and R5 iDC mediated trans-infections were inhibited by 1.4- and 1.5-fold (p-value = 0.0450) in the presence of M. bovis; by 1.8- (p-value = 0.0025) and 2.1-fold (p-value = 0.0002) in the presence of H37Rv; and by 1.7- (p-value = 0.0011) and 1.6-fold (p-value = 0.0034) in the presence of EU127 liposomes, respectively. Here, CD209 is linked to infection.
