FDA (Food and Drug Administration, United States)-approved drugs such as AChE (Acetylcholinesterase) inhibitors like donepezil, rivastigmine, galanthamine and N-methyl-d-aspartate (NMDA) receptor antagonist memantine have been used for the treatment of mild to moderate AD, however these drugs possess severe side effects [7].
