MRTFA and aneurysm: Though we could not extend MKL1/p65 pathway to our study in aneurysm context, given that our Western blot failed to reveal consistent differences in p-p65 expression in aortas from the WT versus KO infused with AngII for 7 days (data not shown), we did find that the activation of p38MAPK, another well-known proinflammatory signal pathway, was suppressed upon MKL1 deficiency.
