In line with these findings, the infection by E. cuniculi determined the release of mixed cytokines, TNF-α, MCP-1, IL-6, and IL-10 when compared to the group of ACs not challenged with E. cuniculi, which exhibited cytokine-mediated inflammatory reactions without the release of the cytokine IL-10 and presenting an M1 profile. The gene discussed is IL10; the disease is infection.
