BPA promotes proliferation, invasion, angiogenesis, and chemoresistance in ovarian cancer via phosphorylation of signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3), extracellular signal-regulated kinases (ERK1/2), and activation of CDH2 (N-cadherin), MMP2, and MMP9 leading to the induction of epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) (Ptak et al. 2014; Hafezi and Abdel-Rahman 2019). Here, CDH2 is linked to ovarian carcinoma.
