In nasopharyngeal carcinoma, the increased expression of ZIC2 leads to increased proliferation, invasion, lymphangiogenesis and lymphatic metastasis of tumor cells (Shen et al., 2017b; Yu et al., 2020), and was an independent prognostic factor of OS and DFS (Yi et al., 2018). This evidence concerns the gene ZIC2 and nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
